Solutions for Cooling Every Body! There are many different cooling products available, and the best one for you depends on your personal situation, activity and environment. We manufacture all major types of Body Cooling Systems and are therefore uniquely positioned to give you an unbiased assessment of the advantages and the limitations of each one.

Kool Max Cooling

Our most popular body cooling system!
  • How does it work? Frozen water-based cold packs.
  • How effective is it? Highest cooling level for its price!
  • Weight? Moderate weight. (Up to 5.5 lbs.)
  • Insert Packs? Yes; up to 12 small packs in vest.
  • Cost? $$
  • How do I make it cold? Requires freezer.
  • Adjustable temperature? Yes; you may adjust the number and location of packs.
  • Climate? All!
  • Discreet? Can be worn beneath clothing.
  • Airplane Carry-on? No. Packs must be placed in checked baggage.
Evaporative Cooling
  • How does it work? Water causes a naturally cooling effect as it evaporates.
  • How effective is it? Lowest cooling potential.
  • Weight? Very lightweight.
  • Insert Packs? No.
  • Cost? $
  • How do I make it cold? Soak in cold water and gently wring dry.
  • Adjustable temperature? No.
  • Climate? Best for drier climates like the SW United States and for low-humidity days elsewhere.
  • Discreet? No. Should be exposed to the air (worn outside of clothing).
  • Airplane Carry-on? Yes. Great for travel!
Phase Change Cooling
  • How does it work? Paraffin-based packs "freeze" at 58 degrees Fahrenheit and release this constant temperature.
  • How effective is it? Cooling potential is less than cold pack vests.
  • Weight? Slightly heavier than cold pack vests. (Up to 6.3 lbs.)
  • Insert Packs? Yes; 4 large packs in vests.
  • Cost? $$$
  • How do I make it cold? Can be chilled in ice water. Refrigerator or freezer optional.
  • Adjustable temperature? No; controlled release of 58 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Climate? All.
  • Discreet? No.
  • Airplane Carry-on? No. Packs must be placed in checked baggage.
Cool Flow System
  • How does it work? Ice water is pumped from a cooling reservoir through insulted water lines built in to a vest.
  • How effective is it? Most effective and extended deep core body cooling.
  • Weight? Lightweight; up to 1.9 pounds with water in the lines.
  • Insert Packs? No.
  • Cost? $$$$
  • How do I make it cold? Ice water in the cooling reservoir, which must be plugged in to power the pump. Vest must be connected to the reservoir. Will provide many hours of cooling before you need to add more ice.
  • Adjustable temperature? Yes.
  • Climate? All.
  • Discreet? Can be worn beneath clothing, but you are connected to a 9 quart cooler.
  • Airplane Carry-on? Yes, if the cooler is empty. (Please check with your airline prior to travel)
